Where your records live

Web and mobile apps

The visit analytics and advertising setup described below apply to the website. The free iOS and Android release does not include advertising, purchases, analytics SDKs or push notifications. The apps still connect to our server to save and restore your life.

Optional visit and gameplay analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand page visits, time on site and device information, and to count game starts, completions, exits before the ending and replays. Analytics cookies help distinguish visits. We do not send life records, player or life identifiers, character names, choices or last words to Google Analytics, and we remove query strings and shared-life identifiers from measured page addresses. Advertising personalization is disabled.

You can decline without affecting play and change your choice below at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection and removes analytics cookies, but does not automatically erase data already sent to Google. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests also disable analytics. How Google uses data

The site also requests Google AdSense code for site verification and advertising setup. This is separate from optional visit analytics. Rewarded ads and purchases are not connected to the game yet.

Your life records

Your current life, completed lives, choices and remembered scenes are saved on our server. The browser keeps a cookie that lets you return to your records. These life records are private by default.

On mobile, the app retains a session identifier in its native storage so it can restore the same life. Your choices and words you write in the game are stored with that session. A character’s health, finances and family are fictional game data, not a profile of your real life. Server error logs help us diagnose service failures.

Clearing that cookie or changing browsers can make your records inaccessible. Clearing browser data does not itself delete the records held on the server. Email sign-in and account-based recovery are not available yet.

Public memorials and other explicitly shared records can be viewed through their public links. They are separate from your private ongoing and completed-life records.
